The EFT likelihood for large-scale structure in redshift space

چکیده
We study the EFT likelihood for biased tracers in redshift space, which bias expansion of galaxy velocity field $\mathbf{v}_g$ plays a fundamental role. The equivalence principle forbids stochastic contributions to survive at small $k$. Therefore, leading order derivatives form ${\cal P}[\tilde{\delta}_g|\delta,\!\mathbf{v}]$ observe redshift-space overdensity $\tilde{\delta}_g(\tilde{\mathbf{x}})$ given rest-frame matter and fields $\delta(\mathbf{x})$, $\mathbf{v}(\mathbf{x})$ is fixed by noise. If this noise Gaussian with constant power spectrum, also difference between its expansion: distortions only make covariance depend on $\delta(\mathbf{x})$ $\mathbf{v}(\mathbf{x})$. then show how match result perturbation theory, that one can consistently neglect field-dependent if stopped second perturbations. discuss qualitatively affects numerical implementations EFT-based forward modeling, picture changes when survey window function taken into account.

Redshift Surveys and Large–scale Structure
I review the present status of the mapping of the large–scale structure of the Universe through wide–angle redshift surveys. In the first part of the paper, I discuss the current state of the art, describing in some detail the recently completed ESO Slice Project. In the second, I recall some of the basic motivations for performing larger surveys. Then, in the final section, I present in detail...
متن کاملLarge - scale bias in the Universe II : redshift space bispectrum
The determination of the density parameter Ω0 from the large-scale distribution of galaxies is one of the major goals of modern cosmology. However, if galaxies are biased tracers of the underlying mass distribution, linear perturbation theory leads to a degeneracy between Ω0 and the linear bias parameter b, and the density parameter cannot be estimated. In Matarrese, Verde & Heavens (1997) we d...
متن کاملConstraining the Cosmological Constant from Large-Scale Redshift-Space Clustering
We show how the cosmological constant can be estimated from redshift surveys at different redshifts, using maximum-likelihood techniques. The apparent redshift-space clustering on large scales ( > ∼ 20 h−1Mpc ) are affected in the radial direction by infall, and curvature influences the apparent correlations in the transverse direction. The relative strengths of the two effects will strongly va...
متن کاملThe Real and Redshift Space Density Distribution Function for Large-Scale Structure in the Spherical Collapse Approximation
We use the spherical collapse (SC) approximation to derive expressions for the smoothed redshift-space probability distribution function (PDF), as well as the porder hierarchical amplitudes Sp, in both real and redshift space. We compare our results with numerical simulations, focusing on the Ω = 1 standard CDM model, where redshift distortions are strongest. We find good agreement between the ...
متن کاملTopology of large-scale structure in the 2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey
We investigate the topology of the completed 2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey, drawing two flux-limited samples of the local Universe from the 2dFGRS catalogue, which contains over 220,000 galaxies at a median redshift of z = 0.11. The samples are cut at z = 0.2 and corrected for selection effects. We then use the three-dimensional genus statistic to probe the connectedness of the galaxy distribution...
